How Many Days Do You Need in Bogotá for Veneers?
Once the price and the safety questions are answered, the next thing every patient asks is the practical one: how much time do I actually need to take off, and how many flights and hotel nights am I booking?
Here's the real answer, plus what those days actually look like.
The Standard Recommendation: 5 Days / 4 Nights
For a full smile design with 20 veneers, we recommend a stay of 5 days and 4 nights. That's enough time for three things without rushing any of them:
1. Your preparation appointment — digital impressions and smile design
2. The time your custom Emax veneers are crafted in the dental lab
3. Your bonding appointment, plus any final adjustments until the fit and look are exactly right
If you need fewer veneers or a simpler treatment, the timeline can be shorter — but 5 days is the safe number to plan around for a full 20-veneer smile makeover, and it's what's already built into the package.
What Happens on Each Day, Roughly
Day 1 — Arrival and preparation appointment.* You land, settle into your hotel in Chicó, and come in for digital impressions. This is also when your new smile is designed on screen with you, so you see it before any work begins.
Days 2–3 — Lab time. Your veneers are being crafted. This is the window most patients use to actually enjoy Bogotá — more on that below.
Day 4 — Bonding appointment. Your permanent veneers are bonded, and any final adjustments are made in the same visit until you're fully happy with the result.
Day 5 — Departure. You fly home with your new smile, plus complete documentation of your treatment for any future reference.
You're Not Stuck in a Waiting Room the Whole Time
The days between your preparation and bonding appointments aren't downtime spent worrying in a hotel room — most patients use them to actually see the city. Popular spots for our international visitors include:
- The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá — a striking underground cathedral built inside a salt mine, about an hour from Bogotá
- Monserrate — a mountaintop church with panoramic views over the whole city, reachable by cable car or funicular
- Parque de la 93 — a lively area near the clinic with restaurants, cafés, and shops, ideal for an easy afternoon
Because you have private transportation included for every clinic appointment, and the clinic itself is in Chicó — one of Bogotá's safest, most upscale neighborhoods — getting around during your free time feels straightforward rather than stressful.
What If I Need Less Time?
Not every case needs the full 20-veneer smile design. If your treatment plan is smaller or simpler, your timeline may be shorter than 5 days. The exact schedule is always confirmed before you book any flights, during your free virtual consultation — so you're never guessing or booking travel around an estimate.
